Independent Education, an Orlando alternative high school.
For serious students with little time to waste.
Complete your high school or college education online in a professional office with like-minded students free from the distractions often found within traditional high schools. We provide oversight, guidance, and tutoring in an atmosphere free from peer pressure, social hierarchy, alcohol and substance abuse, bullying, and other inappropriate behavior. In our offices, students are exposed to a high standard of behavior, the adoption of which will serve them well in future careers.
Students develop personal responsibility and self respect through our strategic guidance, discipline, and tutoring. We create and implement personalized study programs for each of our students which they complete during weekday business hours at our downtown Winter Park office.
Students who complete our program earn accredited high school diplomas and typically continue their studies immediately at two and four year colleges of their choice. We provide college admissions counseling for interested students.
We also offer an “accountability and oversight” program for college students pursuing two year Associate of Arts or Sciences (A.A. / A.S.) and four year Bachelor of Arts or Sciences (B.A. / B.S.) degrees. Our approach helps average and advanced students maximize their achievements, and puts academic success within reach of students needing additional structure.
We teach lifelong study skills including note-taking, memorization, test preparation, math and sciences, reading, research, writing, and time management and organization. Our students learn to take full responsibility for their education, and consequently enter adulthood more adequately prepared to meet the challenges of everyday living.
What Our Clients Are Saying
Independent Education has provided a wonderful alternative educational experience for my children. Because both of my children were very bright, I was concerned at first that they may not advance as quickly and gain the broad base of knowledge available in mainstream education. read more
